How to Create A Back-up of Your Blog

 What can we do to prevent our hard work from vanishing in case of an emergency?

Backups, backups, backups. As you add more admins to your site you may want to ensure that your work is safe from tampering and possibly deletion. Or perhaps you're spring cleaning and rearranging content on your site. Either way knowing how to backup your work is a lifesaver.

First from the left-hand side column select the "Settings" tab.

Scroll until you see the "Manage Blog" row. select the "Back up content" button.

You will receive a prompt asking if you want to download the content of your blog. Click, "Download".

An .XML file of your blog will be downloaded to your computer. If you wish to add content back to your page simply return to the "Manage Blog" row in settings and select, "Import Content".

Content is not the only thing that can be backed up via Blogger. Themes can be backed up as well. From the left-hand side column select the "Theme" tab.

With the theme tab open focus to the top of the page and select the "Customize" drop down arrow.

With the drop down arrow extended click, "Backup".

Download the backup by clicking the "Download" button and an .XML file with your theme will be downloaded.
