How to Add Labels to A Blog Post

How do you organize hundreds of blog posts? Labels!

By adding labels to your post you ensure that those who visit your site can discover it's content via keywords that describe said content. These keywords also aid search engine bots that use the data to find posts related to whatever its user is looking for.

In a post on the right-hand side there is a side bar with the post settings.

Here you will see an accordion allowing you to: create labels, edit the permalink, set a location, or allow/block comments.

Using the drop down arrow for labels gives access a bar in which you may type tags relating to your post.

Ideally, you want to select a variety of words that accurately describe the contents of your post.

Repeat words are likely to decrease ranking amongst the search engine bot, so it is best to choose unique keywords that fit the description.

In future posts, previous labels you've created will pop-up for use, making labels a great system for categorizing content on your blog.

You may add labels to existing posts via the 'Post' tab.

In layout mode you can add a layout gadget to your blog.

From this gadget you can edit things such as: the title of the gadget, how labels sort, how labels are displayed, and which labels are to be showed.
